Krista holds a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with a minor in Business. Combining her passion for animals with extensive experience in business management, she helps oversee operations at Night Watch, helping ensure our team can focus on providing outstanding emergency veterinary care.

Ryan

Veterinary Technician

Ryan has spent more than 10 years in veterinary medicine, working in both emergency and general practice settings. He holds an Associate in Applied Science and is currently pursuing a degree in ultrasonography to further expand his skills. He thrives in the fast pace of emergency medicine, especially when it comes to surgical cases where teamwork and quick action make all the difference.
Outside of the hospital, Ryan keeps life exciting. He enjoys traveling, watching anime, and exploring entrepreneurship. He recently launched a veterinary relief services company that supports clinics in finding reliable on-call DVMs and technicians, helping ensure patients get the care they need no matter the hour.
At home, Ryan’s life is shared with two chaotic cats, an old soul of a dog named Murphy, and a younger, high-energy pup named Zafiro who keeps everyone entertained. Dedicated to both his patients and his profession, Ryan loves being part of a field where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to make a real impact.

Floyd

Veterinary Technician

Floyd brings over 30 years of experience to the veterinary field, along with a deep commitment to compassionate patient care. Before joining veterinary medicine, he served as an Army medic, and he also holds credentials as both a veterinary technician and a pharmacy technician. His expertise in laser therapy and his passion for the surgical side of veterinary care make him an invaluable part of the medical team.
He truly treats every pet as if they were his own, always focused on providing comfort, safety, and the best possible outcome for each patient.
Outside of work, Floyd enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, watching movies and anime, and getting lost in a good book. Caring for others has been at the core of his entire career, and he feels grateful to continue helping families keep their pets healthy and home where they belong.

Kelly

Veterinary Technician and Receptionist

Kelly has dedicated her career to caring for both people and animals. She began in human medicine, earning her certification as a Medical Assistant, and transitioned into veterinary medicine in 2000. Surgery quickly became her passion.
She says, “Watching a pet you feared might not make it go home to their family again is the most rewarding part of my job!”
Outside of work, Kelly is a wife, a proud mom of three boys, and a very happy grandmom to one. Her compassion doesn’t clock out when she leaves the hospital. She regularly fosters kittens and cats, helping them find loving homes. She currently has four fosters ready for adoption and always finds joy in helping them get their second chance.

Alexandra

Veterinary Technician

Alexandra is a Veterinary Technician with over six years of experience in veterinary medicine and an additional two years in general animal care across shelter and private settings. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Texas at San Antonio, with plans to continue on to earn her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Alexandra is passionate about supporting animals through critical and surgical care and takes pride in being a steady presence for clients during challenging moments. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, sewing, and spending time with her two pit bulls, Azula and Oscar, and her cats, Leo and Kitten (yes, the name stuck). Dedicated to her growth in the field, Alexandra aspires to specialize in surgery and mentor future veterinary professionals.

Morgan

Veterinary Technician

Morgan has been a veterinary technician for over 12 years and brings a wealth of hands-on experience to the Night Watch Animal Emergency team. Growing up on a working cow ranch, she developed a lifelong passion for caring for animals of all kinds—from horses and cattle to family pets. At home, Morgan stays busy with her two dogs and three horses, and when she’s not at work, you’ll likely find her spending quality time with her daughter, Maycee. Morgan’s calm, compassionate nature and understanding of animals makes her a valuable part of our team.

Kurt Alfaro

Veterinary Technician

Kurt has been with Night Watch since early 2023. He comes to us with a wealth of experience, having worked in the emergency veterinary field for over 25 years. He has one dog at home, Wyatt, and a cat named Jax. He is a dedicated father to two young boys.

Becca Garza

Lead Client Service Coordinator

Becca joined the Night Watch team in September 2022 as our Lead Client Service Coordinator. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2016 and brings a wealth of experience to our team. Her favorite part of vet medicine is helping educate clients on pet care and seeing success stories. In her spare time, she enjoys fishing, watching horror movies, camping, hanging out with friends and family and spending time with her two cats, Remi and Riley and her three dogs – Nugget, Chloe, and Bentley.

Susan Buentello

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Susan grew up in Northern Louisiana and moved to San Antonio in 2002 to work as a zookeeper. She became a licensed veterinary technician in 2013 and joined the Night Watch staff in 2022. Her pets are Krieger and Pyro, GSDs, and 4 parrots; Banner, Iroh, Elara, and Leda.

Jessica Gomez

General Manager

Jessica has had a career in the Veterinary field since 2014. Her passion is animal care. Her first priority is to keep animals safe, healthy, comfortable, and happy. Jessica loves being able to help pet parents care for sick pets and feels tremendous satisfaction when their health returns. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, watching TV, and spending time with her family, including her rescue kitty, Tabitha Jane.

Miguel Angel Gloria, Jr.

General Manager

Miguel joins the team originally from Bellflower, California. In 2003 he joined the Army as a medic, once settling in San Antonio he found his calling in animal care. His calming demeanor allows him to put both pets and their parents at ease. Miguel loves the veterinary field because it gives him the ability to help nurture and care for an important member of someone’s family. He loves to spend his free time with two wonderful children on the golf course. You can also find him rooting for his favorite teams the LA Dodgers, LA Lakers, and the Dallas Cowboys while hanging with his favorite fish friend SpottieOttieDopaliscious.

Mikeline Gladman, DVM

Texas A&M University

Dr. Miki Gladman comes to Night Watch from Dallas, Texas. She attended Texas A&M Galveston where she studied Marine Biology for her undergraduate degree. Dr. Gladman went straight to Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2014 with a focus in Small Animal Companion Medicine. Her life is very busy with her husband, two children, and five dogs. Veterinary Ophthalmology has always been something she is very passionate about. Her hobbies include crafting and traveling, with Italy and Germany being her favorite European destinations.

Dr. Gladman has done relief at Night Watch since October 2021 and has now joined the practice as a full-time Associate Veterinarian as of October 2022. We are excited to welcome her to the Night Watch family!

John G. Manning, DVM, M.S.

Texas A&M University

A native Texan, from Corsicana, Dr. John Garrett Manning has been practicing Veterinary Medicine for 30 years, He attended Texas A&M University where he earned two undergraduate degrees a Master of Science and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Manning taught at Texas A&M for seven years where he won multiple teaching and research awards, including the Honor Professor Award and the Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching. He also conducted experimental research and published refereed scientific journal articles in multiple areas of research – ranging from avian diseases to animal and human instincts and behavior. He has also published three books. Dr. Manning has a special interest in “integrated medicine” (a mix of western medicine with acupuncture/acupressure, herbology and energy balance healing) for a more holistic and overall health approach to Veterinary Medicine. His integrated treatment expertise enhances Night Watch’s medical repertoire available for our patients and offers other complementary or alternative options when conventional medications aren’t a complete solution to a pet’s health problems. He has special expertise and interest in spinal cases (IVDD – intravertebral disc disease) and all osteoarthritis conditions involving tendons, ligaments, sinews, bones and joints. When at the age of four he watched a veterinarian perform a “miracle” on a downer cow with milk fever, bringing it “back to life” (with a liter of calcium gluconate IV). At that moment a spark was lit inside the young John Manning. This incredible experience is a large part of what made him decide to be a veterinarian and become the dedicated animal doctor that he is today. When not at work you can find Dr. Manning cheering on his son (the budding golf star), playing guitar, writing songs or mastering his swing on the golf course. He is a member of both TVMA and AVMA. His well-rounded approach to medicine helps this friendly Texan care for your pets and find solutions for your companion’s health that fit with your family.
