COVID-19 Procedures
Due to COVID-19 Procedures, we are still operating curbside and we ask that you remain in your car and call us at 210-455-4559 when you arrive. A technician will speak to you to obtain all pertinent information regarding your pet’s condition and your pet will be triaged and evaluated for stability. Please be aware that we will see your pet on a first-come, first-serve basis, however more critical patients will be seen first.
Please take into consideration when you are waiting for us to bring your furry family member into our care, or when your pet is in our care, we are also caring for other patients. Take a second to look around you. Most likely you are not the only stressed and nervous parent waiting.
We know it is a scary time for you and your pet, and undoubtedly, you are wondering what happens once your pet is admitted into Night Watch’s Care. Typically, your pet will be weighed first. Your pet’s weight will be used numerous times for diagnostic testing, developing a treatment plan and writing prescriptions, if needed. After being weighed, your pet will be taken to our Treatment Area for our Doctor to perform a thorough examination which will include the following, but not limited to: temperature taken, glands checked, ears checked, eyes checked, tongue, gums and teeth checked, back and abdomen checked, a pulse rate will be taken, and heart rhythm checked for any sign of a heart murmur. If your pet is in pain an extensive evaluation will be performed on that area, and a pain medication may be given immediately with your permission. If your pet is having a hard time breathing, your pet may be placed in our Oxygen Intensive Care Unit immediately with permission from you. After our Doctor exams your pet he will call you with a detailed description of his findings.
Once the exam process is over and you have received a call from our Doctor who will instruct a technician to create an estimate for the care of your pet. A technician will go over the estimate with you in detail and answer any questions you may have. Once you have signed the estimate, we will proceed with the necessary diagnostic tests. Our X-rays are sent to Board Certified Imaging Specialists who create reports based on the images. The doctor will evaluate all diagnostic tests and X-rays and develop a plan for treatment. We will offer hospitalization to those animals who require more extensive care. This process can be very time consuming, but please be assured we are working diligently to obtain all the test results and create a treatment plan in a timely manner. Every patient and every client at Night Watch Elite Animal Emergency is extremely important to us. Night Watch Elite Animal Emergency Hospital will provide the most thorough treatment plan to ensure the best possible care for your pet.
We also provide contactless Payment Options.
